An Evergreen tree remains vibrant and green throughout the year - it does not fade or shed its leaves with the passing seasons. This project reminds us that the elderly community of Welioya is full of life and deserves to be cherished and celebrated-just like the evergreen tree that thrives through every season.
THE JOURNEY OF JOY
As we approach one year since the passing of our dear friend, Sajeev, we are honoring his memory with a gesture that embodies his compassionate spirit.
We are launching #ProjectEvergreen – a special, 2 day visit for the elderly communities of Welioya and Padaviya to experience the capital city for the very first time.
This isn’t just a trip; it’s the fulfillment of a lifelong dream for elders who rarely get a chance to enjoy an experience like this. Though it’s simply a journey from Padaviya to Colombo, for them, it’s a true luxury and a deeply cherished opportunity.
Two Days of Connection & Celebration
- Sightseeing: Visits to the Parliament and the Lotus Tower Skydeck & Light Show.
- Entertainment: An exciting movie screening experience and a photoshoot.
- Celebration: A grand banquet-style lunch.
- Culmination: They will join us for Sajeev’s Memorial Service on October 20 before returning to Padaviya.
