We are launching a critical fundraising and donation drive to provide urgent flood relief to the Padaviya community. The recent devastation caused by Cyclone Ditwah has critically afflicted this region. This has resulted in the tragic loss of life, widespread destruction of homes, and the devastating loss of livelihoods. We need your help to raise 3 Million Rupees in total to support two vital causes that will go towards providing relief to the community

The initiative focuses on two core areas:
The recent floods in Padaviya have severely impacted 150 families, leaving many in urgent need of assistance. In response, this fundraiser has been launched to provide both immediate relief and long-term support for affected children and families.
1. Immediate Relief Support
Funds are being raised to purchase and distribute essential items such as medication, sanitary products, household essentials, basic clothing, and disease-prevention kits. A ground visit is planned to offer direct support, provide basic medical care, and share safety awareness with the community during this challenging period.
2. School Packs for Children
Each year, school packs—including book lists, bags, and shoes—are provided to children in need. With the current crisis affecting so many households, the initiative has expanded to support a larger number of students who have been impacted by the floods.
With the generous support of partner organisation OffScript, 50 dignity packs have already been arranged. LLG is currently working on completing the remaining 100 packs. Purchasing and packing will take place over the next two days, ahead of the scheduled Tuesday visit to deliver rations and essential supplies.
