Hi, I am Denham, though many call me "Don." Like most of us, I’ve worn many hats throughout my life. An avid cricket fan, a marketing lecturer, and for a brief time, a restaurateur. My recent joy was in becoming a married husband. Since early childhood, my one constant love has always been to give back to society and support my mother country, Sri Lanka. It has taken me till adulthood to realize that mastering the art of giving, is a life-long journey. I hope to help give back to society and my country through Live, Love & Give - an organisation I initiated in 2016.

Maneshka Dolewatte

Hi I’m Maneshka. My grandfather is my role model, my idol. He was an active social worker and gave so much of his life to those in need and I have accompanied him on many such occasions. Those experiences have made me who I am today. It has taught me to put others before myself. My grandfather is long gone now but his spirit lives within me every time I make the slightest change in someone’s life or bring a smile to a mother who has been beaten down by hardships. Spending 3 years in India for my Bachelors in Journalism, Psychology and English Literature gave me the exposure I needed to strive to be a better person, to give myself to others whenever I can. Life has taken me on so many paths. I have worked for 7 years as a Program Director for a French documentary program and a short stint as a Senior French teacher, but now I’m a proud mother of 2 and the owner of my own home baking business. I’m humbled to work with Live Love and Give. I believe, if we have helped at least one person to stand on his or her own two feet, then we have achieved what we have been put on this earth for and I’m glad I’m able to partake in that through Live Love and Give.

His dedication, leadership, and compassion left a lasting mark on our journey, and his contributions will always remain at the heart of who we are. Though he is no longer with us, Sajeev will forever be an integral part of LLG. We will continue to honor his memory through the work we carry forward - ensuring that his legacy of service, kindness, and commitment lives on in every step we take.

Hi, I'm Rushika! Ever since I was a little girl, I've had this inner drive to make a difference in the lives of those around me. I've always felt like I should use the opportunities I’ve been blessed with to help others. With a background in psychology, my studies and practice have helped me to truly understand people and fueled my passion to be there for others and promote mental health and well-being. Even though I'm not actively practicing anymore, my love and passion for helping others has never wavered. From feeding stray dogs on the street to having heartfelt conversations with homeless elders to serving through the social service club in school, I've always sought out ways to give back to my community. And now, I feel so grateful to be a part of Live Love and Give, where I can continue to fulfill that and be on the journey of making a positive impact on the communities around me.

Reverend Fr. Gihan Senadeera, OMI, served as the Parish Priest of Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 18th Mile Post, Padaviya and the founding President of the Development Fund-Padaviya. He played a pivotal role in #ProjectLift, guiding and supporting the community with dedication and compassion. Though he is now transferring out of Padaviya, he continues to remain a valued member of our team and mission. He acts in the capacity of an Advisor to our work in Padaviya (#ProjectLift)

Being a lawyer by profession, aside from work, my passion is to travel and read (though lately I don’t seem to be doing much of either)! Apart from the usual hustle and bustle of life, I believe that each of us has a duty towards the community we live in. From a very young age, my dad had inculcated in us, the habit of giving, and sharing our privileges - whatever it may be - with those who may be less fortunate. We were always taught that the smallest contribution goes a long way! I’m thankful to the platform that Live, Love & Give has created for me to contribute to this in my own way. Its message of fostering sustainability in its projects is one which I'm particularly proud to be a part of, in the hope that one day in the not too distant future, that we could truly make a difference and contribute towards making the world a much better place.

Hello, my name is Rushika, and I am honored to be a part of Live, Love and Give. From a young age, I have seen my parents go out of their way to help people in need, and they have always made sure I was a part of it. It has always given me so much joy to know that the smallest acts of kindness, whether a smile, a small donation or simply giving your time, can make a significant difference in someone's life. As a Clinical Psychologist, my entire professional journey has been guided by a deep-seated passion for helping people. I believe this aligns perfectly with the mission of Live, Love and Give and I am excited to use my skills to support LLG and contribute to the well-being of those who need it the most.

I’m Hasini, but most people know me as Hasi. I’m a work-from-home mother, navigating the beautiful balancing act between raising a daughter and managing life. One of the people who shaped who I am today is my late best friend, Sajeev. He was more than just a friend, he was a guiding light. His compassion continue to inspire me every single day. Sajeev taught me that even the smallest act of kindness can change someone’s life, and I carry that belief with me in everything I do. Being part of Live Love and Give allows me to honor his memory in the best way I know, by helping others, giving selflessly and showing up with love. Helping others is not just about giving them a little money, as we all think. My mother taught me, and still teaches me, how to help everyone in my life who needs help. When I see people in my life, one thing I think about is that I want to help them, at least with a word. My main thing is that I love to serve people. Sometimes when we say helping others, we mean giving them a little money and trying to survive on it. But the way I see it, helping someone is about helping them improve themselves. This is more than my job - this is my lifestyle.
