Two days. Eighty elders. A world of new experiences.
Continuing the journey of Project Evergreen, Live Love & Give is bringing 80 elders from Welioya and Padaviya to Colombo for two days of care, companionship and discovery.
From eye examinations and vision support to cultural visits and shared experiences, this initiative celebrates the elders who have spent their lives caring for others. It is an opportunity to give back, create lasting memories and remind them that they are valued, appreciated and loved.

Honouring a Friend Through Action
In October 2025, we had the privilege of hosting a truly special initiative through Live Love & Give – #ProjectEvergreen.
The idea behind the project was simple, yet deeply meaningful.
An evergreen tree remains vibrant throughout the year. It does not fade with the changing seasons. In many ways, this reminded us of the elderly community of Welioya and Padaviya- individuals whose lives are filled with wisdom, resilience, and stories that deserve to be celebrated.
Project Evergreen was created to honor that spirit.
A Journey to the Capital – A First for Many
For many of the seniors from Padaviya and Welioya, this was their first visit to Colombo. What may seem like a short journey for most of us was, for them, a rare and extraordinary opportunity. Over the course of two days, we shared moments that were filled with excitement, curiosity, and heartfelt connection.
Their itinerary included:
- A visit to the Parliament of Sri Lanka
- Experiencing the Lotus Tower Skydeck and Light Show
- An exciting cinema experience
- A professional photoshoot to capture memories
- A grand banquet-style lunch
But beyond the schedule, what made the experience special were the conversations, the laughter, and the stories shared along the way.
One of the most powerful realisations from Project Evergreen was how much joy can come from experiences many of us take for granted. These small moments became lasting memories.
